Gold IRA fees - what are your experiences with different custodians?

Okay, so I'm about three years into my Gold IRA now, mainly with a pretty sizable chunk of my exit from the tech company. We're talking seven figures in gold and silver, mostly gold, sitting nicely with Augusta Precious Metals. When I initially set it up, their fee structure seemed transparent enough – annual storage, admin, etc. But as I'm looking at my portfolio statements and seeing the total costs this year, it's making me wonder if I really got the best deal on the fees.
I know all companies have fees, that's a given. And for the peace of mind of having something physical outside the usual market shenanigans, I'm more than happy to pay a reasonable amount. But when you’re talking about a portfolio in the mid-seven figures, even a small percentage difference in fees can translate to some serious money over a decade. I’m thinking about setting up another, smaller Gold IRA for some additional wealth preservation, maybe 500k-1M, and I want to be smarter about the fee comparison this time around. I live in Dublin, OH, so knowing what's out there nationwide is key.
For those of you with Gold IRAs from other providers – what are you paying annually? Specifically, I'm interested in the breakdown: what's the annual admin fee, what's the storage fee (percentage-based or flat?), and are there any hidden charges that popped up later? Did you find any providers with a transparent, all-in flat fee structure that ended up being more cost-effective for larger accounts? I'm less concerned with the buy/sell spreads right now, more about the ongoing annual maintenance. Anyone have experience comparing between the big names like Goldco, Birch Gold Group, or even smaller, reputable custodians?
Did anyone negotiate their fees, especially with a larger transfer or initial investment? I feel like there should be some flexibility there, but maybe that's just the old startup founder in me. What's been your experience?
