Finally seeing the payoff from my silver stack – feels good, man.
- •Been quietly stacking silver bars for years now, mostly through my Gold IRA.
- •Honestly, there were times, especially in the early 2010s, where I wondered if I was just being stubborn.

Been quietly stacking silver bars for years now, mostly through my Gold IRA. Honestly, there were times, especially in the early 2010s, where I wondered if I was just being stubborn. My buddies would tease me about my "shiny rocks" while their tech stocks were going vertical. But being in agriculture here in Fresno, you just get a different perspective on real assets. Land, water, and something you can hold in your hand. That's always made sense to me.
My portfolio has been sitting around the $75k mark in precious metals for the last couple of years, with a good chunk of that in physical silver bars – 10oz and 100oz mostly. I’ve always seen it as insurance, a hedge against the crazy paper money world. But lately, with all the inflation talk and the global instability, it really feels like that insurance policy is actually paying off. I'm seeing solid gains, not just on paper but in the actual value of my holdings, and it's a genuinely satisfying feeling to know I stuck to my guns.
It’s not just about the numbers for me, either. There’s a peace of mind knowing a portion of my retirement isn't tied to the whims of Wall Street or some central banker's decisions. I like the tangibility of it. Anyone else out there feel the same way about their physical holdings? What finally made you decide to get into metals for the long haul?
