Just wanted to share a little success story here for anyone feeling a bit antsy about their Gold IRA. I’m a pretty big believer in real assets, especially given everything going on these days, and I started investing in a Gold IRA back when the whole COVID thing really hit in 2020. I own a decent-sized agri-business here in Fresno, and while the market was all over the place, I wanted a solid chunk of my nest egg in something I could physically hold, metaphorically speaking, even if it's stored safely away.
I put about $75k into it initially, mostly American Gold Eagles and some Canadian Maples. For a while, it felt like it was just… sitting there. Not really losing, but not really jumping either. My financial advisor back then kept saying to be patient, and honestly, coming from the agriculture world, patience is something I understand. You don't plant a crop today and harvest tomorrow, right?
Well, turns out that patience is paying off. I just got my quarterly statement, and my initial $75k is now sitting pretty close to $98k. That’s a solid 30% gain in about four years! Feeling pretty darn good about that decision now, especially with all the talk about inflation and instability. It just feels good knowing a good portion of my retirement is in something tangible and has actually grown significantly.
Anyone else seeing similar success with their long-term gold investments? Or have any tips on how they're planning to rebalance or diversify now that gold's been on a good run?
