Finally pulled the trigger and added silver to my Gold

Just bit the bullet and diversified my Precious Metals IRA with some silver. For the longest time, I was 100% gold, mostly focused on the traditional stability and long-term holds. As a military contractor here in Jacksonville, security and hedging against uncertainty are always top of mind for me, and gold felt like the ultimate safe haven.
My portfolio's sitting around the $180k mark, and about $120k of that was in gold bullion and some specific coins. I'd been reading a lot about the gold-silver ratio, industrial demand for silver, and just the general affordability compared to gold, and it started making a lot of sense for some additional exposure. Talked it over with my custodian, did my research on approved products – mainly looking at some of the larger silver bars for cost efficiency, like the 100oz government-minted ones. Went with a significant chunk of those.
Honestly, part of me wishes I'd done it sooner, but better late than never, right? This feels like a solid move for added diversification, especially with all the economic weirdness going on globally. It’s hard to predict what’s coming next, and having both metals feels like a more robust defense against inflation and potential market volatility. Anyone else made a similar move recently? What's your outlook on silver's performance over the next 5-10 years compared to gold?
