Finally diversifying my Gold IRA with silver! Anyone else seeing the light?

Okay, so I started my Gold IRA like a couple of years ago, mostly just a small percentage of my portfolio, because, let's be real, I'm just getting started in my career here in Charleston and every dollar counts. I've got maybe $15k in it right now, mostly physical gold coins. The whole "buy gold" thing really resonated with me as a hedge against inflation and just general market craziness, especially with everything going on in the world.
But lately, I’ve been doing a lot more research and honestly wondering if I was missing something by going all-in on gold. I’ve seen so many posts here talking about the industrial demand for silver, and the lower price volatility compared to gold can be a good thing, plus the lower entry point caught my eye. I'm young, so I'm looking for growth potential obviously, but also that stability for my long-term retirement fund. After a lot of back and forth, I finally pulled the trigger and moved about 20% of my recent contributions into silver. Feeling pretty good about it, actually.
It wasn't a huge amount, but it feels like a significant step for me. I went with some American Silver Eagles and Canadian Maple Leafs, just sticking to the well-known stuff for now. My thought process was, if I’m building a strong foundation, why not have more than one type of precious metal protecting it? Plus, with my portfolio still pretty small, every little bit of diversification helps me sleep better at night.
Anyone else in a similar boat, starting small and branching out into silver after initially focusing on gold? Did you notice any particular benefits or drawbacks I should be aware of as I continue to grow this thing? I'm trying to hit that $50k mark within the next five years, so any insights on how to optimize this mix for a younger investor would be awesome.
