Feeling good about my Augusta Gold IRA but what else

Finally pulled the trigger and funded my Gold IRA with Augusta Precious Metals last week. Been sitting on the sidelines for too long, just watching the Fed print money like it's going out of style. As a manufacturing exec here in Cleveland, I see the real-world impact of inflation on raw materials every single day. My main portfolio is still heavily indexed, but with the market being... well, the market, I felt it was high time to put some significant capital into something tangible.
I started with about $150k from a rollover, mostly in American Gold Eagles and some Canadian Gold Maple Leafs. Augusta was pretty easy to work with – their representative Walk (yes, Walk, that's really his name) was super helpful and knowledgeable without being overly pushy. They held my hand through the whole process, which I appreciated as a first-timer. I've always valued hard assets over paper, and it feels good to finally have a portion of my retirement tied up in something that can't be digitally erased or conjured out of thin air by a central bank.
My big question for you all: What are the common pitfalls or things I should be keeping an eye on now that I'm in? I’m thinking about adding another $50-100k next year, expanding into some silver potentially, but I want to make sure I’m not missing any crucial considerations. Did I make the right call with Augusta? Any red flags I should be aware of on an ongoing basis?
Also, given the current economic climate, what’s everyone’s general outlook on how gold will perform in the next 3-5 years? Are you diversifying into other precious metals like platinum or palladium within your IRA, or sticking mainly to gold and silver? Just trying to gather some more perspectives from experienced investors here.
