Fed Rate Decision and my Gold IRA - feeling the squeeze, anyone else?
- •Okay, so another Fed rate hike just hit, and honestly, I'm feeling a little antsy about my portfolio.

Okay, so another Fed rate hike just hit, and honestly, I'm feeling a little antsy about my portfolio. I've got a decent chunk, probably around $180k, tucked away in my Gold IRA for early retirement. The whole point was to have that stability and inflation hedge, especially with how volatile everything else feels.
I'm a marketing exec here in Minneapolis, working my butt off to hit that early retirement goal within the next 8-10 years. My thought process with the gold was to keep a solid foundation while I play a bit more aggressively with other investments. But these rate hikes... are they really helping long-term, or just putting the brakes on everything? I know gold often moves inversely to interest rates, and while it's held its own, I'm just curious if others are seeing similar pressure or if I'm overthinking it.
Anyone else in a similar boat with their rollover or precious metals IRAs? How are you guys feeling about these continuous rate increases affecting your long-term strategy? Any insights or different perspectives would be greatly appreciated. Sometimes it feels like I'm trying to navigate a maze blindfolded here!
