Eagles vs. Buffalos for my Gold IRA - what's your take?

Okay, so I've been poring over this for my Gold IRA and honestly, I'm a bit torn. I've got about $180k in there right now, mostly from a 401k rollover I did last year after seeing some of the executives at the oil company I work for here in Tulsa talking shop. They were big on gold as a hedge, especially with how things have been looking globally. My advisor suggested a mix, but I'm really trying to maximize my upside while keeping things IRA-compliant.
I understand the basic differences: Eagles have the copper/silver alloy which makes them a bit more durable, and Buffalos are pure 24k. The Eagles usually come with a slightly lower premium, but then you're paying for less actual gold per coin, right? Meanwhile, Buffalos are pure gold, but the premiums can sting a bit more upfront. Are those premiums really worth it for the 24k purity in the long run? I'm thinking about holding these for a good 15-20 years before I even sniff at touching them, so I want to make the right call now.
For those of you who've gone one way or the other, what was your rationale? Did you factor in future liquidity at all? I'm trying to think beyond just acquisition cost. Also, on a related note, has anyone used an RMD Calculator to project out what their required minimum distributions might look like with a mix of these? I'm trying to get a clearer picture of my tax obligations down the line, and the value difference might actually matter when those numbers start getting crunchier. Appreciate any insights!
