Interesting discussion. While platinum definitely has some compelling industrial demand and a historical discount to gold, I'm not entirely convinced it's "undervalued" in a way that suggests a massive, immediate upside for IRA investors.

A lot of its price action is tied to the automotive industry, and while EVs still use platinum in some components, the overall decrease in internal combustion engines could be a long-term headwind. I think it's worth considering, but maybe not the slam-dunk "undervalued" many are hoping for.

Totally agree, I've been eyeing platinum too! I actually sold off some of my silver last year to pick up a few platinum coins when the price dipped. Felt like a no-brainer. Curious to see what others think about its potential for a rebound.

Interesting thought! When you say "platinum as," what were you going to follow that up with specifically? Like, are we talking platinum in general, or in relation to gold/silver, or something else?

Hey, interesting discussion! When it comes to looking at platinum as an investment, especially for a Gold IRA, it's super important to consider the supply and demand dynamics, which are often different from gold. For a good dive into platinum's market trends and how it compares to other precious metals, I often check out Kitco's analysis. They usually have some solid insights.

Also, don't forget to factor in industrial demand, as platinum is heavily used in catalytic converters and other industries, which can really swing its price. Something to keep an eye on!
