Birch Gold for smaller accounts - my experience, anyone else?

Been seeing a lot of chatter lately, especially from folks with bigger portfolios, about their Gold IRA providers. Thought I'd chime in with my experience, specifically for those wondering about Birch Gold and if they're a good fit for someone with a more modest (but still substantial!) chunk of change to invest. I'm talking under a million, upper hundreds of thousands.
I rolled over about $600k from an old 401k into a Birch Gold IRA a couple of years ago. I've been in the dairy business my whole life here in Wisconsin, so I'm used to good, honest business, and frankly, some of these financial folks can be slick. Birch felt pretty straightforward. My rep, David, was no-nonsense, explained everything without a lot of jargon, which I appreciated. He helped me pick out some common bullion – American Gold Eagles and Canadian Maple Leafs – nothing fancy. The setup was smooth, no major hiccups, and the transfer happened in about three weeks, which felt pretty standard.
Here’s the thing, for my portfolio size, it felt right. They didn't treat me like small potatoes, which I've heard can happen with some of the bigger players if you're not bringing 7-figures to the table. The fees seemed reasonable, and transparent enough for me. Storage is with Delaware Depository, which seems to be a solid choice in the industry. I check in every few months, mostly just to see the balance and remind myself it’s there, diversifying away from all the craziness in the paper markets.
My biggest concern going into this was making sure I wasn't getting fleeced on markups or getting stuck with some obscure coin that'd be hard to sell later. David actually talked me out of some of the more niche, "collectible" coins, saying pure bullion was a better fit for my goals, which felt honest. Anyone else here in the $500k-$1M range use Birch? Or if you used another provider for a similar amount, what was your experience like? Always curious if there's something I missed or should be keeping an eye on.
