Birch Gold Group for a smaller Gold IRA? (My experience

Okay, so I'm just starting out with my Gold IRA journey, and honestly, it's a bit overwhelming. I'm a teacher in Columbus, OH, and after seeing all the inflation news and hearing my parents talk about gold, I finally decided to dip my toe in. I don't have a huge amount saved up yet, only about $30k, so I was looking for companies that were good for "smaller" accounts. Birch Gold Group kept popping up in my research. Has anyone else used them for a relatively modest investment?
My experience so far has been pretty positive. I called them up a few weeks ago, and the specialist I talked to was super patient. I probably asked a hundred "dumb" questions, but he explained everything about setting up the account, rolling over a portion of my old 403(b), and what even is a custodian. The minimum investment for them is $10k, which was a relief because some places I looked at wanted way more. I ended up putting in $15k to start, mostly American Gold Eagles and some Silver Eagles too. I was really nervous transferring that money over, but it all went smoothly.
I guess what I'm wondering is, for those of you with smaller Gold IRAs, what's been your long-term experience with Birch Gold? Are the fees manageable? I know they have a flat annual fee, which seems good for smaller accounts compared to a percentage, but I'm still trying to wrap my head around all the costs. Any unexpected charges down the road? Any Columbus locals here with advice? It's tough trying to figure all this out on your own!
