Best Gold IRA for a smaller portfolio? (Providence, RI

I’ve been eyeing a Gold IRA for a while now, mostly for the diversification and inflation hedge. I own a jewelry store here in Providence, so I’m pretty familiar with the ins and outs of precious metals, but setting up an IRA is a whole different ballgame. I’ve probably got around $70k - $80k I'm looking to roll over from an old 401k into gold, and I’m wondering if anyone on here has experience with companies that are good for smaller portfolios.
Most of what I read online seems geared towards folks dropping six figures and up. Are there any companies that don’t have super high minimums or a ton of fees that eat into a smaller amount like mine? I’m looking to primarily hold gold coins, maybe some silver. I’m thinking American Gold Eagles and some Canadian Maples, stuff I can actually get my hands on and verify the quality of. I’ve seen some companies pushing things I’m less familiar with, and honestly, coming from the jewelry world, I'm pretty conservative when it comes to what I'll trust.
I’ve been doing some research on different custodians and dealers, but it’s a bit overwhelming. The fees are what really concern me for my amount – setup, annual maintenance, storage fees… it all adds up. Are there any services out there that are more transparent or offer better rates for holdings under, say, $100k? I really just want to get this set up without too much fuss and without feeling like I’m leaving a huge chunk on the table just to have it held.
Also, does anyone have strong feelings about segregated vs. co-mingled storage for a portfolio of my size? I lean towards segregated for peace of mind, but if the difference in fees is significant enough, I'd consider co-mingled. I've been checking out the Learning Center for some educational resources, which has been helpful, but I value real-world experiences from people who have actually gone through the process. Any recommendations or warnings would be greatly appreciated!
