Are there any good Gold IRA options left for someone with $250k?

- •Most of the recommendations I see are for people with portfolios way north of mine, or they just assume everyone has millions to throw around.

Starting to feel a little alienated by all the Gold IRA discussion out there lately. Most of the recommendations I see are for people with portfolios way north of mine, or they just assume everyone has millions to throw around. I'm a retired military guy, based out of San Diego, and I've built up a decent nest egg, sitting at around $300k right now. I've been really focused on financial security since I left the service, and the current economic climate has me seriously looking at diversifying into physical gold within an IRA.
I know $300k isn't chump change, but it's not the kind of "whale" account that gets white-glove treatment from every single company. I'm worried about getting hit with disproportionately high fees or not getting the attention I need from a reputable custodian. I've been doing some digging, but it's hard to cut through the marketing noise when you feel like you're not their primary target.
So, for those of you with portfolios in a similar range (say, $250k to $500k), what Gold IRA companies have you had good experiences with? I don't necessarily need the absolute cheapest, but I want fair and transparent fee structures. I'm willing to pay a reasonable premium for excellent customer service and a company that truly understands the needs of someone who values security and doesn't have an infinite budget. Any companies that felt like they genuinely cared about your investment, even if it wasn't a seven-figure sum?
