Anyone used Birch Gold for a "smaller" IRA? My experience and some thoughts.

So, I've been kicking around the idea of getting some more physical assets into my retirement for a while now. Being in ag out here in Fresno, real stuff you can hold just makes more sense to me than purely digital funny money, you know? My 401k's done okay, but I wanted some real hedging, especially with all the volatility lately.
I finally pulled the trigger a few months back with Birch Gold Group for a Gold IRA rollover. My initial investment was just under $70k – not a huge whale, but definitely not a small chunk of change for my family. I was a bit nervous since most of the discussions I saw online seemed to be from folks with much larger portfolios. Truthfully, I was worried I'd get less attention or a worse deal. My rep, though, was really great. Walked me through everything, answered all my questions about setup and storage. The whole process took about 3-4 weeks from start to finish, which was pretty painless considering it's a retirement account.
I ended up diversifying a bit between some gold and silver coins. It's nice to actually see the assets accounted for. I've been doing a lot of my own research too, always checking the market. I even found a pretty neat tool recommended by a friend, the "Silver vs Stocks" comparison at goldirablueprint.com. It's an eye-opener to see how silver has stacked up against the S&P 500 over the last 10 years – definitely makes you think about diversification beyond just big tech.
Anyone else here with Birch Gold in a similar boat, size-wise? What's been your experience long-term? I'm curious about ongoing fees and how their customer service holds up down the line. Always good to hear from others who've been through it.
