Anyone else watching industrial demand for silver? What are your thoughts?

Been watching the silver market pretty closely lately, and something's been bugging me more than usual: the industrial demand side. We always talk about silver as a monetary metal, the poor man's gold, etc., but honestly, with all the tech advancements, I’m starting to think its industrial utility is going to be the real driver in the coming years. I've been in gold and silver for about 15 years now, mostly gold, but I've always held a decent chunk of silver in my Gold IRA—probably 20% of my precious metals portfolio, which itself is a good portion of my overall 750k retirement fund.
I’m an old oil guy from Dallas, and I’ve seen commodity cycles come and go. When I look at things like solar panels, EVs, 5G tech, even medical applications, they all need silver. We're not just talking about tiny amounts anymore, are we? This isn't just about jewelry or coinage. The rate of adoption for some of these technologies is insane, and it feels like the market might not be fully pricing in this massive, growing industrial thirst for the metal. Is anyone else starting to feel like the narrative around silver needs a serious update? Are we underestimating the long-term impact on supply and demand?
My concern is that mining output isn't exactly surging to meet this new type of demand. It's not like they can just flip a switch and get more silver out of the ground. Plus, a lot of silver is a byproduct of other mining operations, like copper and lead. If those markets slow down for whatever reason, silver supply could get even tighter. I’ve always held silver for diversification and a hedge against inflation, but now I’m thinking its intrinsic value could explode purely based on industrial necessity.
What are you all seeing out there? Am I just getting swept up in the latest hype, or is there a genuine shift happening that will fundamentally alter silver's price trajectory? I’m seriously considering upping my allocation to silver in my Gold IRA next time I rebalance, especially if we see a dip.
