Anyone else getting serious inflation vibes right now? Considering more gold for my IRA.
- •I've had about $150k tied up in a Gold IRA for the past five years or so, mainly as a hedge, and it's definitely paid off.
- •But now, it feels like we're not just hedging against standard market wobbles, we're staring down something potentially much bigger.

Okay, so I've been in the casino industry long enough here in Vegas to know a bad bet when I see one, and honestly, the way things are going with inflation feels like a really bad hand being dealt to all of us. I've had about $150k tied up in a Gold IRA for the past five years or so, mainly as a hedge, and it's definitely paid off. But now, it feels like we're not just hedging against standard market wobbles, we're staring down something potentially much bigger.
Every time I go to the grocery store, or even just fill up my tank, I'm shaking my head. The prices are just nuts. I keep thinking back to some of the old-timers I used to deal with on the floor, who always preached about having some physical assets when the fiat currency starts looking dodgy. My current Gold IRA has been a fantastic way to protect a chunk of my retirement, especially since 2020. I'm sitting on some decent gains there that have absolutely outpaced my more traditional investments in the same timeframe.
My portfolio is currently hovering around $220k, and I'm seriously contemplating adding another $30k-$50k into my Gold IRA before the end of the year. It feels like a no-brainer with the Fed just printing money and the national debt spiraling. Is anyone else looking to significantly increase their gold holdings right now, specifically within their IRA? Are you seeing the same red flags I am with this inflation?
I know some folks treat gold like it's a dinosaur, but from my perspective, it’s like a reliable pit boss who’s seen it all and always has your back when things go south. Just wondering what other investors here are thinking and if you're making similar moves given the current economic climate.
