Anyone else feeling the inflation heat and piling into gold?

Man, these grocery prices lately are no joke. I was at the Zaragoza Walmart yesterday and nearly fell over seeing the price of a gallon of milk. It’s not just milk, though. Construction materials for my little side hustle are through the roof too. My wife and I have been budgeting like crazy, especially with our youngest starting college next year, and it feels like every dollar just evaporates quicker than it used to.
That feeling of money losing value is exactly what got me looking into Gold IRAs a couple of years ago. I pulled the trigger and moved about $150k of my retirement savings (mostly from some old 401ks that were just sitting there) into physical gold. Best decision I’ve made in a while, honestly. Watching my portfolio hold strong while everything else seems to be doing the cha-cha slide has been a huge relief. I’m thinking of adding another $50k this year, especially with all the talk about the Fed and interest rates. It just feels like a safer bet than leaving it all exposed to the whims of the market right now.
Living down here in El Paso, you really see how global economics affect things locally. The cross-border trade, the supply chain issues - it all filters down. I’ve always had a bit of a knack for spotting trends, and right now, all signs point to inflation sticking around longer than people think. For anyone on the fence, I spent a lot of time on the Learning Center at Gold IRA Blueprint when I was doing my research. Seriously, so much good information there. It really helped me understand the ins and outs before I committed.
Are any of you guys feeling the same pressure? What’s your take on inflation right now, and how is it influencing your investment decisions, particularly with precious metals? Thinking about adding more gold or silver, or are you looking at other hedges? Always interested to hear what folks are doing.
