Anyone else eyeing this inflation nightmare and stacking more gold?

Okay, so I'm not gonna lie, the inflation numbers lately have me more than a little concerned. I've been a steady gold investor for a while now – probably 8 years or so – and it's always been a bedrock of my retirement strategy. I work in healthcare administration here in Tampa, so I see the cost increases trickling down everywhere, from supplies to wages. My portfolio is sitting comfortably between $150k and $200k in various assets, with a significant chunk in my Gold IRA. But these persistent rises in everyday expenses are making me rethink my allocation even further.
I know the markets are all over the place, and there's always a debate between gold and pretty much everything else. I personally like the stability gold offers when everything else feels like it's on a trampoline. I’ve been seriously considering adding another $5k-$10k to my Gold IRA in the next few months, just to further fortify against these inflationary pressures. It feels like a no-brainer with the dollar losing purchasing power, even if the short-term price action on gold isn't always a rocket ship.
Speaking of comparing assets, has anyone checked out that Silver vs Stocks tool? I was playing around with it the other day, looking at the 10-year period, and it's pretty eye-opening how different assets perform over time, especially when you factor in major economic shifts. I tend to focus on gold, but it definitely makes you think about broader precious metal allocations.
My big question for the community here is: Are you guys feeling the same pressure to increase your gold holdings because of inflation? Or are you leaning into other hedges? I’m always open to hearing different perspectives, especially from folks further along in their investment journey or those with alternative strategies. Trying to make sure my family's future here in Florida is as secure as possible!
