Any recommendations for smaller Gold IRA investors? (250-500k range)
- •I'm a big believer in tangible assets – you can’t exactly build a house out of crypto, right?
- •I've been eyeing a Gold IRA for a while, especially with all the economic weirdness going on.
- •I'm based in Chicago, so ideally, a company that has a decent reputation or at least responsive customer service would be great.
Been noticing a lot of posts from folks with multi-million dollar portfolios talking about their gold holdings, and it got me wondering if there are different considerations for us "smaller" investors. I'm sitting on a portfolio in the $300k range, mostly from my construction company's profits, and I'm looking to diversify about 10-15% into physical gold through an IRA.
I'm a big believer in tangible assets – you can’t exactly build a house out of crypto, right? I've been eyeing a Gold IRA for a while, especially with all the economic weirdness going on. I'm based in Chicago, so ideally, a company that has a decent reputation or at least responsive customer service would be great. I'm not looking to move millions, but I also don't want to be treated like small potatoes by some massive firm that only cares about their whale clients.
Anyone in a similar boat have experiences with specific Gold IRA companies they'd recommend? Or, just as importantly, any horror stories I should avoid? I've seen some online reviews, but it's hard to tell what's legitimate sometimes. Are there particular fees or hidden costs I should be extra vigilant about with a portfolio of my size? Appreciate any insights you all have!
